IAPMO is authorized by the Commonwealth as a provider of continuing education
The Session #5 year ended April 30, 2013 and Session #6 classes will begin in September 2013. Massachusetts Licensed Plumbers and Gasfitters are required to complete Session #5 and Session #6 prior to license renewal on May 1, 2014.
IAPMO offers classroom seminars that meet the requirements of 248 CMR 11.00 conducted by the premier instructor team in the state. These seminars are offered at various locations throughout the state on Saturday’s, weekdays, evenings, and as private classes. Please visit IAPMO’s seminar schedule to select a date and location that is convenient for you, pre-registration is required. Additional fee applies to walk-in registrations, if space allows.

About the 248 CMR 11.00 Requirement
248 CMR 11.00 governs the continuing education requirements for Massachusetts licensed plumbers and gasfitters in the Commonwealth. It requires licensees to complete continuing education during each two year renewal cycle, the Board of State Examiners provide a course agenda for a new session each year.
- Journeyman and Master Plumbers are required to attend one 6-hour course annually, totaling 12 hours of Board approved continuing education in the two year renewal period.
- Journeyman, Master, and LP Gasfitters are required to attend one 3-hour course annually, totaling 6 hours of Board approved continuing education in the two year renewal period.
A certificate of completion is issued to the licensee as evidence of completing the required training and IAPMO submits licensee information to the Board office in compliance with 248 CMR 11.00
