About the 248 CMR 11.00 Requirement

248 CMR 11.00 sets forth the continuing education requirements for all licensed plumbers and gas fitters in the Commonwealth.  It requires individuals to complete continuing education during every two year cycle.

• Plumbers are required to attend one 6-hour course each year, totaling 12 hours in the two year period.
• Gasfitters are required to attend one 3-hour course each year, totaling 6 clock hours of education in the two year period.

Upon completion, a certificate is issued as evidence of concluded training. If you need a copy of your certificate of attendance, download the request form below and submit to IAPMO.
