Red Cross Disaster Relief

Along with government and community partners, dozens of American Red Cross disaster workers are supporting the opening of shelters and evacuation centers and provision of food and comfort for those in need. Along with food and shelter, the Red Cross is supporting those affected with relief supplies, health services such as replacing lost medications and eyeglasses, emotional support and spiritual care.

As IAPMO stands for the health, safety, and well-being of people across our globe, we wish to help the people impacted by the devastation of severe weather and the Spring Storms. To that end, we encourage our membership and our partners in the industry to make a donation to the American Red Cross, which is already on the ground responding to these communities’ needs.

“IAPMO stands first and foremost for safety, and in times like these we reach beyond our purview to ensure well-being in the most basic manner — shelter, a warm blanket, a meal and clean drinking water, for families weathering these natural disasters,” said IAPMO CEO Dave Viola. “We ask our members and industry peers to consider giving whatever possible.”

Donations enable the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from this disaster.

Donations can be made by simply texting REDCROSS to 90999 to give $10 to American Red Cross Disaster Relief.

The Red Cross honors donor intent. Donors can designate their donation to disaster relief, Ukraine, Spring Storms or where its needed most relief efforts by choosing that option when donating on redcross.org or on 1-800-RED CROSS.

  • The best way to ensure your donation will go to a specific disaster is to write the specific disaster name in the memo line of a check. We also recommend completing and mailing the donation form on redcross.org with your check.

IN-KIND DONATIONS

We know Americans are generous and want to do everything they can to help after a disaster. Unfortunately, collecting and sending food, clothing and other household items often does more harm than good. Instead, the best way to support disaster victims is with a financial donation.
