IAPMO’s SCB Earns ISO 14001 Accreditation

Ontario, California — SCB (Systems Certification Body), part of The IAPMO Group, has been accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) to provide ISO 14001 certification to existing and prospective clients wishing to demonstrate the effectiveness of their environmental management system.

More than 300,000 companies worldwide are certified to ISO 14001, an internationally recognized standard that provides a framework for organizations to design, implement, and continually improve their environmental performance, ensuring they are taking proactive measures to minimize their environmental footprint, complying with relevant legal requirements, and achieving their environmental objectives.

For SCB, the accreditation represents another important milestone in providing comprehensive certification services to organizations wishing to tout their capabilities via systems certification.

“SCB continually listens to our clients and industry, anticipating their needs and adding capabilities accordingly in order to offer one-stop certification services across a wide range of standards,” said Shirley Dewi, SCB senior vice president. “Environmental management systems demonstrate how an organization is working to address climate change, biodiversity loss and resource depletion — pressing concerns in the 21st century.”

SCB is committed to meeting clients’ needs and helping them stay out in front of a complex and always-changing environment. Its customer base serves industries such as aerospace and defense, information technology, medical, automotive, engineering and manufacturing, and service providers/government contractors.
