An IAPMO certification is a significant professional accomplishment which is why it is critical you commit to continuous self-development by participating in Certification Renewal. You will expand your knowledge, validate your technical expertise, and realize personal satisfaction from the effort.
Certifications are valid for three years. Certifications must be renewed on or before the expiration date.
You can renew your certification up to 6 months ahead of your expiration date and have a 6 month grace period after your expiration date.
If your certification has expired and you are beyond the 6-month grace period, click here for information on how to reinstate your certification.
Certification Renewal Options:
There are two options for renewing your certification. You can renew by taking a renewal exam OR submitting the appropriate amount of approved CEUS. Please click on the options below for more information.
Participate in career development activities provided by or recognized by IAPMO. A total of 1.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are needed to renew one certification. IAPMO has created a sliding scale for individuals who would like to renew more than one certification. If renewing two certifications, a total of 2.5 CEUs are required. For the renewal of three or more certifications, a combined total of 3.5 CEUs are needed.
All CEUs submitted must be relevant to your certification and must be approved by IAPMO after registration. All CEUs must be earned during the time period your certification is valid or within three years prior to the date of your renewal application. You must maintain a record of CEUs earned during this period and submit proof of documentation.
